Work Description
Companion Web site to Civil War, a nine part WETA-TV documentary, co-produced by brothers Ken and Ric Burns that first aired in 1990. The producers used archival photographs, live modern cinematography, music, narration, and a chorus of first-person voices to tell the story of the bloodiest war in American history. The site includes background information on the making of the film; allows users to browse images from the war; has a section for classroom instruction; and provides links to related resources.
