Consists of a letter from Charles Rafferty dated Wellsville [Ohio] August 30, 1847 and five letters of James J. Strang in reply.
Printed in double columns.
Reprinted from the columns of the Gospel herald rather than from the earlier (1848) edition of the same name. Strang's sixth letter to Rafferty, and his Appendix, are omitted.
Strang's letters are on the subject of Apostolic succession, and Watson's notes to the LDS and RLDS churches demonstrate that Strang has demolished the Catholic claim to Priesthood.
