Fr. Hedwig Lewis words "...In 2001, when there was need for a fifth edition of At Home With God, I gave the book a complete makeover and a new title: God Here And Now. I updated the text through fresh research, and replaced several stories with more appropriate ones. It has seen several reprints. Now, Over a decade later, I have once again overhauled the book and reverted to the original title, for this entirely new edition of At Home With God. The texts have been streamlined through further research; new stories have replaced old ones wherever possible.

Work Description
At Home with God is based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola. It is a "retreat in daily life" guide. The book contains hundreds of thought-provoking anecdotes and stories, as well as inspirational quotes from Scripture and other sources in keeping with the theme of the day. It is highly structured, progressively leading the "retreatants" through simple prayer techniques and exercises to deepen, strengthen and intensify their relationship with God. In the process they will discover their own inner resources. They will feel motivated to translate their insights and experiences into constructive actions for the building up of the Kingdom of God. They will increase their desire to love God with their whole heart, mind, soul and strength, and to love their neighbor as they love themselves. They will become aware of God's presence in all things, persons, events and places! They will learn how to be 'contemplatives in action', transforming every one of their daily activities into 'spiritual exercises' and thus being in contact with God - "praying" always - in the here and now!
