THE remarkable and romantic incident now made up into a drama, was related to the author of the drama by the late Dr. James Craik, the early, constant, and bosom friend of Washington, from the period of the signing of their first commissions in '55; to the last sigh of the Chief, while grasping the hand of Craik, in '99.
