Translation, by Henry Brome, of: Discours d'un fidèle sujet du Roy touchant l'etablissement d'une compagnie françoise pour le commerce des Indes Orientales / by François Charpentier, first printed Paris, 1664. First printed in English In London, 1664.

"Articles, and conditions, whereupon the trading merchants of this kingdom do most humbly beseech His Majesty to grant them his declaration and the graces therein contained, for the establishment of a company for the commerce of the East Indies", pages 39-52, dated and signed on page 52: Done and received at the Assembly, held by His Majesties gracious permission, at the house of Monsieur Faverolles, merchant at Paris, Tuesday, May 26. 1664.

This work was reprinted to promote the Company of Scotland trading to Africa and the Indies.
