This book has some models in common with The Usborne Book of Origami by Eileen O'Brien and Kate Needham but there are differences.

This book has brief sections on what origami is, useful types of paper, the symbols used in the diagrams, how to make a square from a rectangle and also a page on how to do tricky folds. The book is extensively illustrated by drawings but no photographs.

The 16 models in the book are:

  • quick and easy boxes
  • party hats
  • flutter butterfly
  • space spinner
  • viking boat
  • snapping dragon
  • big bang
  • fearsome fangs
  • jumping frog
  • bombs away/waterbomb
  • finger puppets
  • jewellery
  • flapping bird
  • star box
  • lily
  • stacking tree

Suitable for kids 6+.
