Los Angeles, 1953: Brookline ist einerder exklusivsten Golfclubs der Stadt. Die Fairways sind grün, die Mitglieder weiß, die Caddies schwarz. So auch Lionel Walk, genannt "Train", der ein außergewöhnliches Talent fürs Golfen hat. Das erkennt auch Detective Miller Packard vom LAPD, der regelmäßig in Brookline spielt.
