This tract was written when many were advocating the abandonment of the Virginia colony, and is an earnest plea for its continuance. It gives the first account of the shipwreck of Sir George Somers, Sir Thomas Gates, and Captain Newport, in 1609, upon the Bermudas or Somers Island. Cf. Church.
