Nigel studied the hills carefully through his binoculars.
'Can you see anything?' asked the girls.
'No' answered Nigel. 'Only bare rocks. No waterfalls or anything like that. Wait a minute...'
He looked more closely and then handed the binoculars to Hilary. 'Can you see anything over there?'
Hilary looked carefully.
'It looks like a bubble car,' she said. 'You have a look, Pam.'
Pam took the glasses. 'Yes, and there's someone beside it. There's been a crash!'
The children hurried towards the scene of the crash, jumping from rock to rock in great leaps that would never have been possible on Earth.
'It's a rocket car,' exclaimed Nigel as they drew near.
Soon they were beside the strange flying machine, bending over a small figure lying on the ground.
