According to William Hubbard's General hist. of New England (1815) p. 517, the pamphlet was "set out" by William Vassall, "assisted, as was said, by a relation of Dr. [Robert] Child." It is also ascribed to Vassall by Edward Winslow in his reply, entitled New-England's salamander, London, 1647.
