Contains letterpress-printed poems and music with woodcuts and engravings.

Text bound dos-à-dos style over blue, woodgrain-printed paper boards iwth cloth spine. Illustration of a raven titled "Waterlines" mounted on front cover and an illustration of a lyre (untitled) mounted on back cover. Red and black lining papers. Engravings issued in chemise between the texts; woodcut folded and issued loosely in case. CD issued in a recessed compartment of case.

Music and lyrics for "Orpheus on Sappho's shore" illustrated in black, red, light blue and yellow colors. Text "Waterlines" illustrated in black and white.

"The 12-block 'Drowned man' woodcut, 'Noah's art come raven' engravings & the letterpress were printed by Art Larson ... in Hadley, Massachusetts. Takuji Hamanaka printed the 'Sappho & Orpheus' woodcuts in Brooklyn, New York. The Kozo sheets were hand made by the Yamaki paper mill in Fukui, Japan. Boxcar Press produced the polymer plates from the script of Eleanor Wiliner, musical notation of Luna Pear Woolf, [and] the drawn staves & titling of Michael Kuch. The 10 point Van Dijck lead type was cast by Michael & Winifred Bixler. 'The Drowned man' was cut on cypress planks, the 'Sappho & Orpheus' images were cut on shina plywood & the 'Noah's art come raven' series were engraved on olive wood end-grain from the Holy Land & printed on Shikbu Gampi. Sarah Creighton made the paste papers for the dos-à-dos binding's cover & bound the edition of fifty."--Colophon.

Accompanied by sound disc: "Après moi, le déluge" by Luna Pearl Woolf with Matt Haimovitz, cello. First work: "Après moi, le déluge" = After me, the flood" for solo cello and acapella choir (25:11); Second work: operatorio "Orpheus on Sappho's shore = Orphée sur le rivage de Sappho" (46:26)

Program and performer notes in English and French inserted in CD container.

CD produced by Oxingale Records, 2006.

Issued in a drop-spine box covered with turquoise book cloth.
