The series of short dialogues in this work are the outcome of the observation of a photograph where the architect Luis Barragán Luis Barragan (Guadalajara 1902-Mexico City 1988) appears biting an apple, surrounded by volcanic stone, in what would later be known as El Pedregal de San Ángel, In Mexico City. This series of about twenty brief, and sometimes even monosyllabic, dialogues delimit a broader conversation about this contemplative position of the architect-poet, who walls gardens, plants Edenic trees, recreates the order of the grids and also makes a "quiet revolution". Jorge Méndez Blake (Guadalajara, 1974) is a visual artist whose practice investigates the language and history of literature, as well as how writing can be translated into visual and spatial compositions. He was part of the XIII Bienal de la Habana, of the Triennale of the National Gallery of Victoria 2017 and the 13th Biennale of Istanbul. He has exhibited individually in Mexico and various cities around the world. He is currently a member of the Sistema Nacional de Creadores de México.
