Engraved in color by Janinet after drawings by Durand.
Imprint on plates: Paris, Esnault et Rapilly.
Eleven of the 73 numbered plates are in two states; plates 3, 9, 13, 41 , 44, 46, 48 and 70 are represented by an additional state in colors, and plates 17, 20 and 45 have duplicates in black and white.
An original pen and ink and water-color drawing for plate 70 (Hotel Bergeret, rue du Temple) is inserted, mounted on a sheet of paper showing in the lower margin a colored drawing for a pediment.
