Published as a supplement to Piranesi's Descrizione e disegno dell'emissario del Lago Albano (1762); frequently found bound together with both that work and with Piranesi's Antichità d'Albano e di Castel Gandolfo (1764). The three works were probably issued both separately and together.
Plates IX-XII were apparently added only to later issues and reprinted editions, probably beginning in 1764.
Six of the numbered leaves of plates are on double leaves (each counted as 2 in the adjusted count of leaves of plates).
