Born in Los Angeles and educated in art schools in California, Eduardo Sarabia (American, b. 1976) has spent the last decade living and working in Guadalajara, Mexico since 2003. The ex profeso exhibition for the Museo Universitario del Chopo "The Bull and other stories" assembles a twenty-year trajectory of searches and discoveries: a trip through the artistœs recurring themes and the story of his life. This exhibition is a symbolic narrative that includes a variety of ceramic ornamental vases, drawings of some important moments in his life, such as the quetzal quest, the trip he made to Russia at age 13, and the 1981 and 1988 Los Angeles Dodger Championships, installations made with packaging boxes and a mural done on site. The name of the exhibition is is inspired in the sport achievements of baseball pitcher Fernando el toroʺ Valenzuela.
