The Karl und Emy Schmidt-Rottluff Foundation has one of the largest collections of paintings of the pioneering "Brücke" co-founder Karl Schmidt-Rottluff. The previously unreleased complete collection of paintings and sculptures will be presented in this volume for the first time, in great detail. The collection of the Karl and Emy Schmidt-Rottluff Foundation emerged from the legacy of Karl Schmidt-Rottluff (1884-1976) and is managed by the Brücke Museum Berlin, includes the artist's paintings spanning five decades, with particular emphasis on the work period after the Second World War.
