It's never been done, but it's desperately needed. 'What we want has never been done' explores the route to a fully integrated construction process; whereby all parties are jointly able to realize projects with a major social impact with an eye to each other's interests. In practice, a truly integrated approach often gets stuck in a wish scenario, because the world of planning and building can be unruly. Nevertheless, if the Netherlands is to tackle the major spatial challenges of the coming decades, integral cooperation is crucial.
