Joining or leaving prophetic churches

a case study of Karonga township

"There is a growing tendency of losing members from mainline churches to prophetic ministries. In the six decades the mainline denominations have seen a marked decrease in membership. In comparison to Pentecostals and Evangelicals, the classical (mainline) churches are declining worldwide. The trend at which members move from mainline churches to newly introduced prophetic churches threaten the existence of some traditional churches. While prophetic ministries attract a lot of people from different churches some leave prophetic churches. There was a need to understand the motivation behind joining or leaving prophetic ministries."--Page 5
