These facsimiles of original manuscripts are reproduced in gray-scale, but retain all script and other elements (ruled guide lines, symbols, editing marks, etc.) that were in red ink
The volumes are described as "volumes 42-46" in the preface, which broadly describe the texts as "the classics of Kagyu School, such as 41 Kagyu texts on the six Dharmas of Naropa, 36 texts of Dakpo Lharje, 46 texts on the practice method of Sutra and Tantra by Mikyö Dorje, 20 biographies of Kagyu masters.... There are 143 Kagyu texts"
