An edition of Mi katvah ḳaʻarat hashbaʻah (2019)

Mi katvah ḳaʻarat hashbaʻah

She wrote incantation bowls

This book presents fascinating journey that includes five stations, each of which provides a glimpse into the writing work of the women who worked in antiquity; From Mesopotamian women holding a barrel and peg writing, through the women of the Roman Empire holding a feather and Latin writing in curling, to the Jewish women of the Sasanian empire holding a brush and writing in Aramaic in square writing, set on bowls. The book removes the veil that disguised a chain of wondrous women in writing and returns them to their proper place in our collective historical memory.
