Text photocopied on white paper; book covers are off-white handmade stiffened paper incorporating dried tobacco leaves and dusted with snuff. Some illustrations (reproduced images of Martí, scenes of Tampa life, and cigar labels) are mounted. The hand-tinted and decorated title leaf and leaf following t.p. are folded. Coarse cream-colored open-weave fabric forms a cover over the book and bears the title, series title, and statement of limitation formed out cut-out and mounted letters. The whole book is enclosed in an outer wrapper made from a dried palm leaf; tobacco leaves are mounted inside both covers. The outer wrapper is tied with brown and white string.
Includes bibliographical references.
