Description and history of Cone Monastery (Tib. Co-ne dgon chen or Dgaʾ-ldan Bśad-sgrub-gliṅ; Ch. Chanding si or Zhuoni da si), a Tibetan Buddhist monastery founded by the Sakya (Sa-skya) School in 1267and converted to the Gelukpa (Dge-lugs-pa) School in 1458, located in Zhuoni County, Gannan Prefecture, Gansu Province, an area also known as the traditional Tibetan region of Amdo (A-mdo).
