Abridged translation of Humboldt's "Voyage aux régions équinoxiales du nouveau continent." The first English edition was published in 1814-1829 in seven volumes.

Volumes 2-3 have half-title with series: Bohn's scientific library. Editor's preface in volume 1 states the edition was being published "as a portion of the Scientific library."

Includes index.
