Rare Book copy: Blind ruled polished tan calf binding, circa 1780, flat spine gilt ruled, gilt-lettered brown morocco spine label, edges sprinkled red and brown.
Rare Book copy: In manuscript annotations on this copy's title page verso, the publisher and distributor of the edition, Antoine Bezallier (1629-1719), recorded his costs for paper (6 livres per ream, his cost for the printing of the paper (100 sous per ream), possibly the total number of leaves printed (6,000), the number of quires in the book (18), the cost per volume for binding in calf (6 sous) and in parchemin carton (possibly vellum over paper boards) (5 sous), and the price at which he retailed calf and parchemin carton copies in his shop (20 sous and 17 sous, respectively); he signed and dated this accounting on February 17, 1687.
