Edition Notes

Originally presented as the author's thesis (doctoral)--Uppsala University, 2009.

"Codex Upsaliensis Graecus 8 is a Greek miscellany from the 1480s, now at Uppsala University Library. Containing some ninety texts of different character and from different genres, this manuscript is a complex creation, but still an example of a type of book that was common during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. In the present study a comprehensive view of the book in its entirety is taken, making sense of its different parts in relation to the whole with the help of codicology and textual analysis."-- Publisher description.

Includes bibliographical references (pages 311-333) and index.
