Edition Notes

Title-pages differ slightly in orthography; v. 4 contains an index to the first and second collections; folded table in v. 4.

Imprint varies, v. 2: printed by A. M'Culloh for F. Cogan.

The four collections of the Somers tracts and the volume of selections are numbered 1-17 by the binder. Vols. 1-16 have no logical arrangement. A later edition, issued by Sir Walter Scott, 1809-15, in 13 vols., is chronologically arranged and has systematic subdivisions under each reign.
