An edition of Suluu buka a jikoo baayi 1 (1991)

Suluu buka a jikoo baayi 1

Electronic edition.

This booklet (number 1 of 3) offers different stories and folktales. The themes of 'The hyena will not leave its habit' makes interesting reading. Book 1 includes the encounters of the greedy hyena and the wise, tricky rabbit: how rabbit fools hyena; the irony between might and wisdom (lion and rat); and the foolish woman who falls victim to the unscrupulous man. All of the stories have moral values intertwined with proverbs and similes. Learners can use the proverbs for further discussion.
