Half-title preceding t.p.: Fisonomia naturale di Gio: Battista dalle Porta; Giovanni Ingegnieri [sic]; Polemone; & Fisonomia celeste del medesimo Porta.
Della fisonomia dell'huomo (given in half-title as Fisonomia naturale) is a translation of De humana physiognomia, originally published in Vico Equense in 1586. Fisonomia celeste is a translation of Physiognomoniae coelestis libri sex, originally published in Naples in 1603.
Polemo's work is here translated into Italian by Francesco Montecuccoli from the Latin translation by Carlo Montecuccoli of the Greek text.
The section entitled Della Celeste Fisonomia by Porta is dated 1622.
Each section has special t.p. and separate paging.
Engraved title vignettes; head and tail-pieces, initials.
Leaves printed on both sides (first group of paging).
