Printer's device with motto "Vnicum arbustum non alit duos erithacos" on t.p. and repeated on verso of final leaf.

Colophon reads: Lutetiae, apud Christianum Wechelum, anno M.D. XXXIIII. mense Septe[m]bri.

The woodcuts (several bearing the monogram of Jollat) are reversed free copies of those in the 1483 Italian edition. The original series, which appeared in the 1472 first ed., has been attributed to Matteo De' Pasti or his school.

Rare Book copy 2: Has different binding and different date format (i.e. -IV instead of -IIII) than another copy in the Columbia Rare Book collection.
