Collation of original (as represented by facsimile) : numb. l. 1-152 (recto), 152-296 (recto), 55 miniatures. Initials. 23 x 17 cm. In double columns.

The original is probably a late 13th century parchment manuscript.

Numbered leaf 152 (recto) duplicated in photostating.

The text is carelessly copied but as a whole agrees most closely with ms. 1429, Bibliothèque nationale, Paris. cf. The legend of Sir Perceval, by Jessie L. Weston.

Continuations by Wauchier de Denain and Manessier.
