Edition Notes

An engraved t.p. "Lvdicrvm chiromanticum et metoposcopicum Praetorii. Lipsae, sumptibus Iohan: Bartholom: Oehleri" [n.d.] is prefixed to the "Lvdicrvm chiromanticum Praetorii." That part of the "Centifrons idolvm Jani" which has the caption title "Metopu-scopia per anagramma caput ipse homo" was apparently printed by accident with the "Lvdicrvm chiromanticum" in Jena, being paged continuously (p. 857-10026 [i.e. 1026]) and also connected with it by the catchword ME- on p. 856 of the "Lvdicrvm." The index to the "Lvdicrvm chiromanticum" (appended to the Centifrons) seems to have been printed at Arnstadt with the t.p. the "Frontispicium" and the remaining part of the Centifrons. Paging irregular.
