A satire in verse on George IV and his advisors, in imitation of William Hone's The political house that Jack built.
"The R---l fowls / by the author of the R---l brood" is sometimes attributed to William Hone according to NUC pre-1956, 478:75, while "The R---l brood / by the author of the R---l blood" is attributed to C.F. Lawler by Halkett and Laing, V, 145, also attributed to John Agg.
The engravings are ascribed to George Cruikshank by George on authority of Reid; not included in Cohn. Douglas ascribes them to Robert Cruikshank.
