"The Duc de Nevers, one of the Great Nobles of the realm, was one of the rebelling princes and possessed immense domains in the center of France. This letter is sent to the King upon hearing of the arrest of the Prince de Condé on Sept. 1, by Marie de Medicis. Nevers requests the King to resolve this problem because in view of the Peace of Loudun such actions should not be taken. Thus, during the winter of 1616 the Duc de Nevers levied troops in Champagne and the revived the party of the rebelling princes"--French Political Pamphlets Digital Collection, Brigham Young University.
