Previously published in 1546 and 1548 with title: Actes of Englysh votaryes.
The general t.p. and preliminaries (sig. *) and pt. 2 were printed by S. Mierdman, who was in London in 1551, though he is not known to have used the sign of S. John Baptist; the bookseller who did use this sign has not been identified.
In this issue, pt. 1 (79, [1] leaves) is a reissue of STC 1270, originally printed by Mierdman in Antwerp with title and false colophon: The actes of Englysh votaryes. Printed at Wesel : [s.n.], 1546. Also issued with a 1551 Vele edition of pt. 1 (STC 1273), and perhaps separately.
Known to exist in at least two states: in one, the errata end "trusse." and the title is uncorrected; in another, the errata end "Englyshe." and the title has reading "legendes".
Errata to both parts at end of pt. 2 (those for pt. 1 referring to the 1546 edition).
