Edition Notes
Baudrier, H.L. Bib. lyonnaise, IX, p. 167
In "Ioannes Oldendorpius candido lectori," p. 3, the master suggests that the work could be considered the compiler/editor's rather than his.
VD 16 identifies "Hermannus Figulus" as Hermann Ulner.
Device on t.p.: Eagle on globe, two partly intertwined snakes; flanked by motto "In virtute et fortuna" (reprod. Baudrier IX, p. 68, no. 12 but motto in all-capital italics)
Signatures: A⁸ b-y⁸ Z⁴.
LC copy imperfect: the t.p. information about the source, the caption on p. 3, and other occurrences of Oldendorp's name were at one time excised or variously deleted, later partly restored by hand lettering.
