"The Survey of Consumer Finances (SCF) is a triennial survey of the balance sheet, pension, income, and other demographic characteristics of U.S. families. The survey also gathers information on the use of financial institutions." The site also provides full documentation of the survey data, including codebooks and survey instruments used; and it provides a description of survey results, including articles reprinted from the Federal Reserve Bulletin, revised data tables in ASCII and Excel formats, and time series chartbooks.
