Includes 60 mounted "petites arabesques" plates from his Grotesques, 2nd ed., Paris, 1562, and 36 plates from the 1st ed. of his Grotesques, Orléans, 1550.

Androuet du Cerceau's designs influenced by those of Nicoletto da Modena.

Plates are unnumbered, suggesting an earlier state than the numbered plates reprinted by Jombert in his Répertoire des artistes, 1765.
