The short and sweet (tm) math book

Arithmetic for adults

114 pages, 67 illustrations, 132 exercises (w/ answers), indexed

A book written by an honest-to-goodness math practitioner.

Arithmetic tor adults. Paves the way to more advanced math. Leads to algebra and computer math. Makes extensive use of arithmetic equations. Some subjects are: fractions, percent, simple geometry, length, area, volume, dimensions, graphs, word problems.

The book is written in a down-to-earth narrative style. All the points arc driven home by use of examples. The Short and Sweet (TM) in the title is a defining characteristic of the book.

The targeted readers are adults who did not get a good foundation in arithmetic in grade school. Young adults preparing for a qualifying math exam will find this book very helpful. Mature adults such as teachers and parents of elementary school children will find the book illuminating. It will clear up many nagging questions. It will result in increased confidence.
