Jewish Cultural Reconstruction, an umbrella organization, that served as a trusteeship for the Jewish people in the immediate aftermath of the Holocaust, distributed heirless materials world-wide, including to Canadian Jewish Congress. CJC, in turn, distributed materials within Canada; this title to the Winnipeg Jewish Public Library. CJC affixed plates to the books: "... This book was once the property of a Jew, victim of the Great Massacre in Europe ... It has been recovered by the Jewish people, and reverently placed in this institution by the Canadian Jewish Congress ...".
