Governor General Sydenham's message transmits: a memoranda concerning various projected or continuing public works (e.g. canal extensions, improvements in river navigation, amelioration and extension of roads), with cost estimates, furnished by Hamilton H. Killaly, chairman of the Board of Works (11 p.); general estimates of expenditures and resources for 1841 for the Province of Canada (24 p.); and a return furnishing a statement of the salaries of public officials for Lower Canada, Upper Canada, and the Province of Canada, 1 Oct. 1839-10 Feb. 1841 (12 p.). The latter two documents were supplied by Joseph Cary, inspector genral of accounts.
