Edition Notes

Handmade paper sewn to wooden boards with hand-tooled landscape motif on the cover. Small watercolor illustrations pasted onto the paper to resemble a scrapbook.

Based upon a trip taken by Donna Thomas and a friend across the John Muir Trail during the summer of 2002. They were joined for portions of the trail by family and friends, who also contributed to the text of the book.

"Peter Thomas made the paper, which has inclusions of the shirts Katy & I wore on the trail (thoroughly washed). This book has been handwritten & handbound by me, Donna Thomas, with woodworking help by brother John Millar & letterpress printing by Peter Thomas"--Colophon.
