Catalogue of various manuscripts relating to Great Britain in continental libraries. Five appendices were issued, although the report itself was never completed or published. Appendices B, C and D are bound together. Pt. 2 of Appendix E was never completed.

Each volume preceded by a leaf dated May 29, 1869 and stating: "This volume contains a portion of the appendices to a report on Rymer's Fœdera intended to have been made, to the late Commissioners on Public Records, by Mr. Charles Purton Cooper, their Secretary. As these appendices have been in store since the year 1837, when the Record Commission expired, and the report was not made, I have directed the appendices, although imperfect, to be distributed in such a manner as may render them most useful for literary and historical purposes ...
