An elaborate fake in the style of early German woodcuts. Actually produced in the 19th century, but before 1860. According to Passavant, the plates were produced in Munich, and he describes them, ca. 1860, as "de date récente." The collection of plates does not correspond to either Schreiber 2062 (Passavant I, p. 186), Schreiber 2063 (Passavant I, p. 187), or Schreiber 2063a. The title leaf, printed in red and black, corresponds to the one in Schreeiber 2063 (Passavant I, p. 187). Cf. Passavant, Schreiber.
