Vols. 1-3 dated 1788; 4-5, 1789; 6-8, 1790; 9-10, 1791; 11-12, 1792; 13-14, 1793; 15-16, 1794; 17-18, 1795; 19, 1796; 20, 1797.

Each volume has an additional titlepage, engraved: 'The habitable world described. Inscribed by permission to .. Frederick, Duke of York, &c. &c.'.

The engraved titlepages are dated: vols. 1-11, 1788; 12-15, 1790; 16-19, 1795.

Vols. 16-18 bear the imprint: London, printed for the author, and sold by J. Parsons.
