The commentary (p. 7-23) contains a history of The Interplayers, a San Francisco theatrical group, its performances, and especially the printing done by Adrian Wilson for those performances; it is chiefly written in the first person singular (Adrian Wilson)
The ephemera consist of samples of Adrian Wilson's playbills, programs, etc., and also sample pages from his earlier publication about The Interplayers, "Printing for the theater" (1957). The bifolia paged 29-45 are used merely as wrappers to hold the groups of ephemera.
"This edition is limited to sixty-seven copies, of which sixty are for sale"--P. [28]. No two copies contain the same selection of ephemera. On p. 24-27 is a list of all ephemera included in any copy, with the list checkmarked to indicate the specific ephemera included in the copy in hand.
