"This book catalogues fantasy brothel tokens, which are novelty tokens that were first make in the mid-1960s, with copies and new issues being released continuously to the present. These tokens are neither copies, nor replicas, nor reproductions of actual old tokens from the 19th century, despite what some sellers of these tokens may state or imply. They are newly (since mid-1960s) made-up concoctions, and are thus referred to as fantasy tokens. Many of the fantasy tokens are based on actual old brothels and Madams, but tokens like these were not used by those establishments [but a few of these tokens are copies of actual old tokens, but in a much larger size].
