The Edda not at all "a medley of disjointed Scandianian mythological tales of gods" but an ancient epic British poem recording heroic deeds of historical figures in ancient Mesopotamia and identifying the Sumerians with early Aryans / Indo-Europeans or Goths / Gutim.
