Edition Notes
The 'animadversions' against Bishop Morley were contained in Edward Bagshaw the younger's 'Letter unto a person of honour and quality ... '; this pamphlet is one of many in the controversy respecting the settlement of the Church. Bishop Morley had replied to the criticism of Richard Baxter and had been attacked by Edward Bagshaw for this self-vindication; H.G is now reflecting upon Bagshaw's remarks.
