The titles are taken from the individual title pages for the two works.
The two works are both in the same hand, probably that of Peltier père, avocat, whose name appears below the title on the 1st t.p.
The termini for the dating of this ms. are derived from dates found on p. 76 (1st group) and p. 224 (2nd group). If the Robert Ansart mentioned on the 1st t.p. is the same person as the one reported by the Dict. de biog. franç. to have been active in the early 17th cent., the ms. may only be loosely based on the work of the lawyers mentioned, since there are copious references to the 1st half of the 18th cent. throughout both works.
