"A Brief Slovak Grammar" is an analysis of the structure of the Slovak language, aimed at native speakers of Slovak and especially teachers of language arts in Slovak schools in the 1960s. The book has sections devoted to phonology, orthography, word-formation and morphology, and syntax. The book was published by the Slovak Pedagogical Publishing House. Eugen Pauliny was professor at Komensky University in Bratislava, and the leading Slovak linguist of his time.
